Long Island Man Charged With DWI In Westchester Stop

A Long Island man was among nearly two dozen busted by New York State Police troopers for alleged impaired driving after he was stopped at I-684 in the Hudson Valley.

Over the weekend, troopers arrested 23 drivers in the area for allegedly drinking and getting behind the wheel.

Among those arrested includes Amityville resident Timothy McDonald, 58, who was arrested by New York State Police troopers in Somers on Saturday, July 27. Police said that McDonald was traveling on I-684 in North Salem when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation. 

During the subsequent stop, McDonald was found to be under the influence of alcohol, he was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge. He was released following his processing and no return court date has been announced.
